Deepika Padukone’s latest released ‘Gehraiyaan’, helmed by Shakun Batra has received mixed reviews from the viewers. For some, the movie failed to evoke the emotional depth between the characters, while for others it’s a modern age love story where Deepika’s character Alisha shines bright amongst all. But did you know that the villa is actually a boutique hotel in Goa? Yes, you read it right! Well, that’s the beauty of Shakun Batra, how beautifully he turned a boutique villa into a beach villa. Owned by Tia, portrayed by Ananya Panday in the film, Alibaug villa is a boutique hotel in Goa by the name of Ahilya by the Sea. The villa plays a central role in the plot as the love story of Aliya (Deepika) and Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) starts from the villa.
The Lavish property has nine rooms out of which three are sea-facing villas, surrounded by palm trees all around. Not only this, the grand and expensive property also has beautiful luscious gardens and a spa where half of the film is picturized.
Located in Nerul, the property offers rooms available for rent at different prices, starting from around 21k per night to 34 thousand rupees. The description of the property on the official website reads “Tucked away in a quiet corner of Dolphin Bay, Ahilya by the Sea is a serene and private escape. The property’s nine tastefully decorated and welcoming rooms are spread across three independent villas and enjoy two beautiful swimming pools.”
